In Loving Memory of Sharon Marie Osterholm

Sharon Marie Osterholm passed away peacefully on January 3rd, 2024 at Country House – Council Bluffs where she was being cared for over the last two years.

Sharon is preceded in death by her husband LeMar, mother Sylvia Fitpatrick, sisters Delores Otterstein and Eleanor Achterhoff.

Survived by brother Richard Fitzpatrick (Sally), son Tim Osterholm (Kerri), daughter Rebecca Ruth (Rex), grandchildren Drake Ruth, Miranda Ruth, Samantha Osterholm, Alyssa Osterholm, and great-grandchild Isla Ruth-Flynn.

Sharon retired from the Glenwood State Bank after a long and fulfilling career. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was a proud member of the GCHS graduating class of 1961.  She was an active member of the community by serving on many boards and committees.  One she was particularly proud of was helping to bring Relay for Life to Glenwood to raise money for The American Cancer Society, for she was a cancer survivor herself.

She was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and loved being part of the worship team.  As a dear friend shared, “What you loved to do on Earth, you will do in Heaven”. Sharon will certainly be singing in heaven’s choir!

In lieu of flowers the family would ask that memorial donations are directed to Holy Rosary Catholic Church or Country House, 1831 E. Kanesville Blvd., Council Bluffs, Iowa 51503.

Private interment, Glenwood Cemetery, Glenwood, Iowa.
