Interment will be in the Glenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Glenwood Children’s Library.

Randall G. Bomer, 67, of Glenwood, Iowa entered into eternal rest on March 27, 2010 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was born on February 7, 1943 in Glenwood, Iowa to Elmer & Alice (Julius) Bomer.

Randall was united in marriage to Diana B. Miller on November 28, 1992 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. They enjoyed traveling together and were members of Glenwood Community Church. Randall was employed as a farmer and also worked in the construction field. He then became employed with the Glenwood Resource Center as a resident treatment worker retiring in 2004. Randall loved his trees, doing yard work and feeding the birds and squirrels. He was a talented woodworker and hunted in his earlier years. What brought him the most joy was his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He dearly loved each and every one of them.

Preceding Randall in death were his parents, brother, Gerald Bomer and granddaughter, Misty Lybarger. He is survived by his wife, Diana “Dee Dee” Bomer of Glenwood, Iowa; children, Jeff Bomer of Carpentersville, Illinois, Jerry & wife Terri Bomer; Ron & wife Tracy Bomer; Brenda & husband Bryan Crawley; Diane & husband Chad Cooke all of Glenwood, Iowa; Scott & wife Mary Hiatt of Beaver Lake, Nebraska; brother, Stanley & wife Geneva Bomer of Pacific Junction, Iowa; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, extended relatives & a host of loving friends.
