Phyllis Marie Hespen, 79 of Glenwood, IA entered into rest on Aug. 12, 2015 at Glen Haven Home in Glenwood, IA. She was born Feb. 22, 1936 in Murray, NE to Clell & Dorothy (Sedlak) Gansemer. She was united in marriage to Donald Dean Hespen on Jan. 21, 1958 in Nebraska City, NE. To this union two children were born, Michael and Kim. Phyllis enjoyed raising her children and being a homemaker.
Preceding Phyllis in passing were her parents, husband, son, siblings, Sharon Kreji, Alfred Gansemer and Ronald Gansemer. Survivors include her daughter, Kim and husband Jeff Barnes of Lincoln, NE; grandchildren, Jason Kibbe, Elizabeth Countryman, Rickey Abbott and Christopher Abbott; sister, Joann Petereit of Cedar Creek, NE; brother, Duane Gansemer and wife Ruth Ann of Syracuse, NE; several nieces, nephews, extended relatives and many friends.
