Michael “Mike” E. Ricker

Michael “Mike” Eugene Ricker, 85 of Council Bluffs, Iowa formerly of Silver City, Iowa entered into rest on September 27, 2017 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was born on June 16, 1932 in Wakita, Oklahoma to Floyd and Matilda (Schram) Ricker.

Mike was united in marriage to Marilyn Lea Jewel on August 22, 1953 in Omaha, Nebraska. Their marriage was blessed with six children, Kristy, Diana, Kathy, Donna, Julie and Michael. The family resided in Silver City for forty years until Mike and Marilyn moved to Council Bluffs in 1999. He enjoyed farming, working at Rainbow Bakery for two years and his most recent employment was at Horseshoe Casino until his retirement. He enjoyed being with his family and dancing.

Preceding Mike in passing were his parents, wife, three brothers and one sister. Survivors include children, Kristy (William) Stadt of Omaha, Nebraska; Diana (Doug) Burchett of Malvern, Iowa; Kathy (Curtis) Trimmer of Malvern, Iowa; Donna Davis of Omaha, Nebraska; Julie (Thomas) Belt of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Michael K. Ricker of Council Bluffs, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Katherine Iske of Gretna, Nebraska; Dorothy Hayden-Mittlieder of Omaha, Nebraska; several nieces, nephews, extended relatives and many friends.

Interment will be held in the Malvern Cemetery, Malvern, Iowa.
