Interment With Military Honors: Tuesday, August 16, 2022, 11:00 A.M., Omaha National Cemetery, 14250 Schram Road, Omaha, Nebraska. Military Honors provide by Millard, Nebraska American Legion Post #374 and the U.S. Navy.

Marvin Cloyd Seitz, Jr., 78 of Omaha, Nebraska was born January 29, 1944 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Marvin Cloyd and Doris Louise (Enselman) Seitz. He passed away August 9, 2022 in Omaha, Nebraska.

Marvin graduated from Glenwood High School in 1962 and earned his Bachelor’s degree from University of Nebraska at Omaha. He faithfully served his country in the Navy. He was united in marriage to Sonja Suzanne Stribling O’Leary on September 6, 1968 at St. Paul’s Methodist Church in Papillion, Nebraska. They were blessed with three daughters. Marvin was employed in many positions, retiring as a supervisor for Avaya Inc. formerly Western Electric.

Marvin enjoyed model building, Husker football, being outdoors, his dogs and recently his treasured dog Regan. His faith and family were most important to him. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Preceding Marvin in passing were his parents, Marvin C. and Doris (Enselman) Seitz. Survivors include his wife Sonja (Sunny) Seitz, daughters, Carol (Brad) Kohler, Michelle (Kelly) Christensen and Shannon (Rick) Avard. Grandchildren, Kelli (James) Martin, Kerri (Jared) Kliewer, Kelsi (Adam) Mitteis, Allison Bock, Caitlin (Pete) Messbarger, Chase Christensen, Katie Avard, ten great-grandchildren, sisters, Cheryl (Larry) Bichel, Peggy (Phil) Warren, brother, Eric (Sandy) Seitz, nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorial donations may be directed to: Grace United Methodist Church in Glenwood, Iowa or Nebraska Humane Society.

    My sincere sympathies to your family! It is so hard to lose a loved one but thru Jesus we know believers will live forever with God and we will see them again. Praise God for His love for us.

    I’m was so sorry to hear about Marv’s passing. He was the BEST neighbor a person could ask for. He was definitely the salt of the Earth and definitely will be missed. Love to Sunny, Carol, Michelle ans Shannon
