Leonora Irene (Fisher) Landis, 89 of Glenwood, Iowa formerly of Pacific Junction, Iowa and Nebraska City, Nebraska entered into rest on November 26, 2015 in Glenwood. She was born July 22, 1926 in Mills County, Iowa to Ernest Lloyd & Joanna Pearl (Harris) Fisher.
She was united in marriage to Milan W. Landis. Irene was employed as a bartender and cocktail waitress for the Paxton Hotel as well as local bars in Glenwood until her retirement. She loved doing crossword puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren.
Preceding Irene in passing were her parents, husband in 1967, infant brother, daughter-in-law Rosemary Tillman and nephew Jerry Van Ness. Survivors include her children Deborah Wood; Carl R. Tillman, Jr.; Craig Tillman all of Glenwood, Iowa; Teresa Davis of Millersport, Ohio; step-son Michael Delano Landis of Lutz, Florida; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; siblings Rose Bartles; Edward Lloyd and Suetta Van Ness all of Glenwood, Iowa; several nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.
Interment will be held in the Glenwood Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established.
