Jerry Thomas Parham, 77 of Harlan, Iowa formerly of Pacific Junction, Iowa passed away on October 24, 2021 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was born on July 15, 1944 in Carson, Iowa to Thomas Allen and Dorothy Alta (Jefferies) Parham.

Jerry was employed with Burlington Northern Railroad for 10 years. He was also employed with Park Place for 27 years and Nishna Productions in the health care field until his retirement. Jerry was instrumental in starting the Nishna Valley Coon Hunter’s Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

Preceding Jerry in passing were his parents, sister Nancy Lee Hughes and brother Allen Parham. Survivors include wife Reta Parham of Harlan, Iowa; children Ricky Thomas (Cherry) “Cookie” Parham and Sherry Laray Irwin all of Pacific Junction, Iowa; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, step-brother Mike (Jenice) Hankins of Mineola, Iowa; siblings Terry (Patty) Parham of Pacific Junction, Iowa; Gary Parham of Malvern, Iowa; Lawrence “Huck” (Barb) Parham of Madison, Nebraska; Linda (Joe) Bullar of Omaha, Nebraska, Kathryn Lundvall of Pacific Junction, Iowa; many nieces, nephews extended family and friends.

Interment to be held at a later date.

Memorial donations may be directed to the family.

    Sorry for the loss of such a good man, we had a lot of laughter over the years and our kids called him grandpa even though he was their uncle. Love and prayers sent to the family
