Helen Elizabeth Flowers, 77, of Glenwood, Iowa, formerly of Rockford, Illinois, entered into eternal rest on March 25, 2008 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She was born April 12, 1030 in Meridian, Mississippi to John Allen and Lessie Mae (Ellingburn) Andrews.
Helen was united in marriage to Virgil Nathan Flowers on March 19, 1951 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. To this union four children were born, Ron, Don, Cindi, and Gerald. Helen enjoyed being a homemaker. She moved to Glenwood in 1992 from Rockford, Illinois and became a member of the First Baptist Church in Glenwood.
Preceding Helen in death were her parents, husband in December of 1987, one brother and one sister. She is survived by her children, Ron & wife Terri Flowers of Nob Noster, Missouri; Don & wife Cecil Flowers of Rockford, Illinois; Cindi & husband Clarence Seale, III of Glenwood, Iowa; Gerald Douglas Flowers of Glenwood, Iowa; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild and a host of friends.
