My deepest sympathy to Donnie’s children and grandchildren. He loved you very much! Cousin, we Moore kids are remembering the fun times we had, visits at Gpa & Gma Noore’s, walking to the ice cream shop and you lost the top of your cone! 😆 Family reunions at Waubonsie where we slid down the big dirt hill (in our good clothes), taking penny candy at the drug store (and our folks marching us back to confess!), swimming at your house and playing on our farm. I’m proud of the man you became and how you took care of your dying momma. It was during this time that you prayed to God for guidance and strength. I’ll never forget how your prayers were answered. After praying and crying in the shower, you stepped out on the bath mat and dried off. You looked down and saw wet footprints beside your very own. May we remember that even in our darkest times we are never alone. Love you, cousin, and look forward to seeing you again.

Your Uncle Dale and I are so saddened to hear of your passing! It came much too soon! We don’t know why things happen…only have a trust in a loving God who knows all about each of us and cares so much! We have such fun memories of you, Donnie! There was never a full moment when you were with the Moore kids!! Such fun.. with a little orneryness mixed in! But always a smile on your face( except when you got the smallest ice cream cone…threw a little fit and caused the ice cream to plop out of your cone!!) We will remember you with love in our hearts..and a hope of seeing you again!!!

Don had become a great friend and neighbor here at Acorn Acres. He was proud of his girls and grandkids and was looking forward to going back down to see them We had a surprise birthday party for him this past birthday. He loved it. We will certainly miss him around here.
