Ronald “Jerry” Morgal

Ronald Gerald “Jerry” Morgal, 90 of Malvern, Iowa entered into rest on Jan. 3, 2015 in Shenandoah, Iowa. He was born Oct. 29, 1924 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Ronald Arthur & Lena Mae (Johnson) Morgal. Following high school he faithfully served his country in the Army as a Sgt. during WWII. He was united in marriage to Doloris Dean Cummings on June 10, 1951 in Glenwood, Iowa. Their union was blessed with two daughters, Gayle and Susan. Jerry had a great passion for agriculture and was a steward to the land as well as an astute businessman. He also enjoyed fishing, nature & traveling. Jerry was a talented woodworker and took pride in his workmanship. One of his last accomplishments was planting a large crop of aronia berries. He was a true family man and took wonderful care of his family.

Preceding Jerry in death were his parents and great-granddaughter Harley Rose Richter. Survivors include his loving wife, Doloris Morgal of Malvern, Iowa; daughters, Gayle Richter & fianc̩ Dennis Erickson of Malvern, Iowa; Susan (Daniel) Miller of Tabor, Iowa; Sheila Beavers (like a daughter) & family of Wyoming; grandchildren, Shawn Richter & Ryann (Nicholas) Glenn; step-granddaughter, Christine Sanders & family; great-grandchildren, Harvey Oliver Glenn, Tye Johnston & Jolie Johnston; extended relatives and many friends.

Interment will be held in the Malvern Cemetery with Military Honors.

Memorials may be directed to the Malvern Fire and Rescue.
