Richard William “Bill” Hyde 76 of Hastings, Iowa entered into rest on March 5, 2017 in Red Oak, Iowa. He was born on December 30, 1940 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Richard Allen and Mary Margaret (Gann) Hyde. Following his high school graduation, he attended Iowa State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree. He was in the Coast Guard Reserve. He returned to Hastings to farm and fed cattle and hogs. Bill later became a real estate appraiser. He enjoyed fishing, boating, water skiing and spending time on the computer. Kay and Bill also traveled to Texas in their R.V. for many years. They fed and enjoyed bird watching together.
Preceding Bill in passing were his parents. Survivors include his wife Kay Hyde of Hastings, Iowa; son, Joseph Richard Hyde of Hastings, Iowa; daughter, Jennifer Kay Hyde and fianc̩ Tylor Johnson of Omaha, Nebraska; Uncle James William and wife Marilyn Gann of Phoenix, Arizona; cousins, Steven, Carlan, and Judith Ann and their families; many nieces, nephews, extended relatives and good friends.
A memorial fund has been established.
Private Interment will be held in the Malvern Cemetery.
