Jane Hendrickson-Stanley, 63, of Glenwood, Iowa, formerly of Thurman, Iowa, entered eternal rest at her home on October 16, 2008. She was born October 10, 1945 in Immenstadt, Germany to Petras and Marta (Friedkus) Sabaliauskas. The family moved to Omaha, Nebraska in 1949.

Jane attended St. Anthony’s in Omaha, Nebraska and later received her GED after having her family and was ranked first in her class. She was united in marriage to Ray Hendrickson on October 10, 1960 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. To this union four children were born, William Michael, Donald Mark, Raymond Russell and Carol Lynn. Her husband passed away in 1993. She was later united in marriage to Brooks Stanley on November 2, 1996 in Glenwood, Iowa. Jane was the owner of Glenwood Florist and the couple relocated the shop from the Glenwood town square to a location three miles north of town, where they operated their own green houses and created a beautiful pond around their home. Brooks passed away in 2001 and Jane continued to serve the community in her business along with her two favorite canines Rosie and Daisy at her side. She was a member of the Glenwood Chamber of Commerce and Better Business Bureau.

Preceding Jane in death were her parents, first husband Ray Hendrickson in 1993, second husband Brooks Stanley in 2001, son Donald Mark Hendrickson in 1963 and brother, Juozas Sabaliauskas. She is survived by her children, William Michael Hendrickson of Michigan; Raymond Russell Hendrickson of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Carol Lynn and husband Rod Hall of Malvern, Iowa; several grandchildren; siblings, Peter Sabaliauskas of Omaha, NE; Elena Sparkis; Antanas Sabaliauskas both of Chicago, IL; Zigmas Sabaliauskas; Valerie Prismantas; Vera Crnkovich; John Sabaliauskas; Irene Kreft all of Omaha, NE; very dear friends, Lynda and husband Paul McEvoy of Glenwood, IA; several nieces, nephews, extended relatives and a host of friends.
