Wanda Lee Radford

Wanda Lee (Dyke) Radford, 94 of Glenwood, Iowa passed away at home on January 20, 2021. She was born on March 7, 1926 in Thurman, Iowa to Ernest and Gladys (Kemp) Dyke. Wanda graduated from Thurman High School in 1942. She attended Commerce School in Omaha and received her degree in business.

Wanda moved to Glenwood and worked at the Mills County Court House. She then went to work for Swift Packing Plant. She met and married Charles F. Radford in 1946. To this union three daughters were born, Gerry, Jo and Deb. In 1959, she and Charlie purchased the Lugsch Laundry which later became La Mode Dry Cleaning and Laundry in Glenwood.

Preceding Wanda in passing were her parents. Survivors include daughters Gerry (Tom) Harper of Glenwood, Iowa; Jo (Phil) Brown of Glenwood, Iowa; Deb (Steve) Bussey of Lincoln, Nebraska; grandchildren Angie (Terry) Marlow, Todd Harper, Stacie Teegarden, Stef Teegarden, Amanda, Ariel and Charles Bussey; great-grandchildren April (Joey) Schoening, Cami Marlow, Samantha Teegarden, Amber Teegarden (Tristan Coronel), Trevor Teegarden; great-great grandchildren Cadyn Lichty, Grey and Graham Schoening, Braden Teegarden, Evan, Zoellie and Ciel Coronel..

No visitation or services are planned.

Memorials may be directed to St. Croix Hospice or to the family.

    We are so sorry to hear of Aunt Wanda’s passing. Our condolences goes out to Jerry, Jo and Debbie and all of Aunt Wanda’s grandchildren, great grandchildren and loved ones. God love her.

    So sorry to hear of Wanda’s passing, she was a beautiful person , our condolences go to Gerry, Jo & Debbie, I spent a lot of time with your folks over the years and felt privileged to do so!! I’m sure she will be missed!!
