Celebration of Life Gathering: Saturday, February 14, 2026, 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., Peterson Mortuary, 212 S. Locust Street, Glenwood, Iowa.

Teresa Jo Batten, 69 of Council Bluffs, Iowa formerly of Glenwood, Iowa passed away February 2, 2026 surrounded by her family. She was born November 15, 1956 to Floyd Kenneth and Berdena Valora (Hindman) Hullinger in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Teresa was an Executive Director of Nursing until her retirement. She loved traveling and relaxing on the beach, going to concerts, eating good food, and annual camping trips to Lake Icaria. She was a devoted fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Kansas City Chiefs. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

Preceding Teresa in passing were her parents. Survivors include her daughters Amy Jo Batten; Kelli Jo Schumacher (Shane) all of Glenwood, Iowa; Jordanne Jo Batten of Council Bluffs, Iowa; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister Toni Swanson of Lincoln, Arkansas; extended relatives and many friends.

Interment to be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations have been designated to First Congregational U.C.C. in Glenwood.

    Your mom was such a special friend to me a bond that could not be broken! We shared our parents, children and grand children together! She will be missed beyond words!

    So sorry for your loss. Teresa was such a giving person. Her compassion for others will be missed. She was funny, helpful, thoughtful, and always just a call away if needed. I miss her already.

    A piece of my heart went to heaven with this special angel. My heart breaks for the loss being shared by family & friends & those people she touched with her kindness.
