Celebration of Life Service: Saturday, December 27, 2025, 1:00 P.M., Peterson Mortuary, 212 S. Locust Street, Glenwood, Iowa.
Stacy Allen Newman, 56 of Pacific Junction, Iowa passed away on November 8, 2025, at his home surrounded by family and his beloved Doberman dogs, Josie and Remi. Stacy lost his battle with a long illness.
He was born August 11, 1969, in Cando, North Dakota, to Lawrence Merell and Violet Jean (Klipfel) Newman. Stacy moved with his parents from Cando, North Dakota to Marysville, Kansas where he attended most of his Middle and High School years. Stacy was an athlete and played on the football, baseball, and wrestling teams. Stacy learned from a young age a strong work ethic and customer service skills by working in his family’s grocery stores.
It was during high school that Stacy fell in love with music and learned to play the electric guitar. Stacy grew his hair long, learned to play 80s rock & roll songs and dreamed of making it big as a rock star. Stacy often imitated his rock & roll idol, Eddie Van Halen, who is the best rock & roll guitarist of all time.
Following high school, Stacy moved to the west coast to pursue his rock & roll dream. He lived & worked with his older brother, Rick, who shared his love of music. Eventually Stacy attended vocational schools for HVAC, plumbing, and appliance repair. He was self-employed as an appliance repairman running his own company, Newman Appliance, for over 25 years in Mills County, Iowa. As Stacy’s faithful customers will attest to, Stacy was an honest businessman. Stacy would routinely waive service trip fees & his labor if it was not economically feasible to fix an old broken appliance.
Stacy’s passions were playing his electric guitar, listening to music, raising his beloved Doberman dogs, watching sports and cooking. Stacy was a diehard fan of the New York Yankees and the Denver Broncos. Stacy could always be found in his garage tinkering with & working on anything mechanical in need of repair with music blaring or a Yankee baseball or Bronco football game on in the background.
Preceding Stacy in passing were his grandparents, father, Lawrence Newman, and niece Lindsey Newman.
Survivors include his mother Violet Newman of Pacific Junction, Iowa; fiancé Lorie Ann Gentry-Newman of Waterville, Kansas; daughter Tracee Hinton of Hastings, Nebraska; siblings Dan (Leanie) Newman of Pacific Junction, Iowa; Audrey Lindgreen of Arizona; Rick (Dana) Newman of New River, Arizona; nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Internment to be held at a later date.
Memorial donations may be directed to the family.
