Neil Curtis Kirk, 60, of Glenwood, Iowa, formerly of Oregon, entered into eternal rest on Jan. 16, 2011 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was born June 29, 1950 in Coquille, Oregon to Forrest Maynard & Mary Jean (Hill) Kirk.
Neil graduated from Estacada H. S. and earned his B.S. degree in journalism from the University of Portland in Portland, Oregon. He was united in marriage to Judy Ann Bjork on July 27, 1991 in Portland, Oregon. To this union three children were born, Grace Gladean Kirk, Daisy Marie Alea Kirk and Jonah James Charles Kirk. The family resided in Boring, Oregon until moving to Glenwood in 2000.
Neil was employed with the Glenwood Opinion Tribune for two years, then he and his family edited and distributed Xtra News 4 You. Neil later worked for PayPal as a customer service representative. He thoroughly enjoyed attending his children’s activities.
Preceding Neil in death were his parents and niece, Kiana Kirk. He is survived by his wife Judy Kirk, children, Grace Gladean Kirk, Daisy Marie Alea Kirk and Jonah James Charles Kirk all of Glenwood, Iowa; brothers, Richard”Tony” & wife Laura “Sam” Kirk of Marysville, Washington; Leonard & wife Debby Kirk of Anchorage, Alaska; Brian & wife Carol Kirk of Raven, Arkansas; Martin & wife Esther Kirk of Molalla, Oregon; Aunt, Carmen & Wally Butler; nieces, nephews, extended relatives and a host of friends.
The family would like to invite you to attend lunch immediately following the service at the First Baptist Church.
