N. Jean McCord (Murray) Risinger, 84, of Glenwood, Iowa entered into eternal rest in Glenwood, Iowa on May 31, 2009. She was born April 16, 1925 in Dunlap, Iowa to Melvin Fouts and Ada Zilla (Cover) McCord. Jean graduated from Dunlap High School in 1943. She was united in marriage to Thomas Melvin Murray in 1946 in Hiawatha, Kansas. To this union four children were born, Randi, Lorraine, Kristi and Michael. Following Tom’s passing she later married Alfred Wayne Johnson. In 1989, she was united in marriage to Charles Edgar Risinger.

Jean enjoyed raising her children and was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was employed at Glenwood Caf̩ until her retirement. Jean was a faithful member of Holy Rosary Church in Glenwood.

Preceding Jean in death were her parents, husbands, Thomas and Wayne; son, Michael Melvin Murray in 1993, infant sister, Ruth McCord, brothers, George and Bud McCord, son-in-law, Kenny Cloyed. She is survived by her husband Charles Risinger of Glenwood, Iowa; children, Randi Murray-Cloyed of Glenwood, Iowa; Lorraine & husband Tom Shatava of Grimes, Iowa; Kristi Murray of Glenwood, Iowa; 6 grandchildren, Billy Weis, Angie Lilly, Lisa Osberg, Tommy Frahm, Bobbi Jean Bolton, Jamie Lynn Shatava; 3 great-grandchildren, Connor, Gracie and Jaxx Weis; step-children Sandy & husband Ray Runge of Omaha, Nebraska; Kathy & husband Jack Broady of Johnson, Nebraska; Terri and husband Dee Hardy of Red Oak, Iowa; Jimmy Risinger of Red Oak, Iowa; siblings, Mina Usher, Oscar McCord, Wanda Graham and Shirley McCord all of Glenwood, Iowa; Becky McCord of Mesa, Arizona; Raymond McCord of L.A., California; numerous nieces, nephews, extended relatives and a host of friends.
