As a little kid I remember playing with Lisa and going to her house. Marilyn made the best waffles this side of Texas for us to eat. Many fond memories of seeing Marilyn over the years at the gas station. She will be missed.
My condolences to the Gaskill family.
Marilyn saved my life almost 20 years ago. I was working at Gaskills and Marilyn said I had some grease on the back of my arm in an area I could not see easily. It turned out to be a melanoma.the size of a nickel. It was caught early enough that it was still curable. Had Marilyn not.mentioned that “spot of grease” Im sure I wouldnt be here today.
When I worked for Unitog, I filled up every week at Gaskills station. My condolences to the family. Marily was so friendly and kind. Becky Bell
Jim and friends,
We always enjoyed talking with Mrs. Gaskill when Dale worked at Gaskill’s. There are no easy words for this heartache. Even if you prepare yourself for this. There is still a part of you that goes into shock when your loved one crosses over. We pray for peace for each of you. May the comfort of friends and family help bring you peace as we all remember and honor Marilyn’s life and spirit.
Sincerely,
I’ll miss her.
I look back on working at Gaskill’s so many years ago as a privilege. I met so many good people there, and one of the best was Marilyn. She always had a soft heart and an open ear for those of us working there. I think about her and experiences there each time I drive by. My utmost condolences to Jim and the rest of the family.
The first time I met Marilyn she had came to my job to check me out to see if I was worthy of marrying one of her customers. Needless to say she approved of me and a great friendship evolved. She will be missed…
