Luverne Henry Gerzevske, 78 of Glenwood, Iowa formerly of Humboldt, Iowa passed away December 14, 2025 in Bellevue, Nebraska. He was born August 29, 1947 in Faribault, Minnesota to Erich William and Alice Marie (Ihlow) Gerzevske.
Luverne faithfully served his country during Vietnam. Luverne was united in marriage to Barbara Jean (Warnke) on July 15, 1992 in Humboldt, Iowa. Luverne was a Laboratory Production Manager for Merck Laboratories until his retirement.
Preceding Luverne in passing were his parents, wife and three siblings. Survivors include his siblings Bernard (Bev) Gerzevske Rochester, Minnesota; Marie Gerzevske of Houston, Texas; Janet (Larry) Gieseke of Arlington, Minnesota; Linda (Don) Ackman of Wichita, Kansas; nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.
No services are planned.
Interment to be held at a later date.

I have known Vern for a long time. He was a great guy & I introduced him to Barb at The Unicorn in Humboldt. May he rest in peace.
Me and vern worked the cub scouts for many years ( I will very miss him he was a great friend
My thoughts are with his family and friends. I’m the daughter of Butch and Lois Johnson. I’ll miss Vern’s laugh and his sensd of humor. He was always a great friend to all that had him as a friend. Thank you, for your service Sir.
