Lea L. Lawson, 84, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, formerly of Lake Quivera, Kansas and Omaha, Nebraska, entered into eternal rest on Jan. 9, 2010 in Council Bluffs. She was born on August 24, 1925 in Tabor, Iowa to William Alfred & Carrie Alpha (Boldra) Bachler.
Lea was united in marriage to Neils Vinton Lawson on Jan. 3, 1942 in Rockport, Missouri. To this union one son, Gary Lee Lawson was born. Lea was employed with Bell Telephone Company as the Chief Account Representative for the San Francisco area. She was a world traveler, enjoyed walking, dancing, golfing and was a gracious and stylish hostess when entertaining family and friends. Lea had been a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Overland Park, Kansas. She continued to worship at Risen Son Christian Village.
Preceding Lea in death were her parents, son, and husband. She is survived by her relatives, Steven & wife Nancy Lawson of Frisco, Texas; Carrie & husband Rick Brown of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Stella Bachler of Farragut, Iowa; Wanda & husband Bill McNeal of Council Bluffs, Iowa; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
