LeVon Maxine (Harman) McCollester, 93 of Silver City, Iowa passed away January 18, 2022 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She was born July 8, 1928 to Grant Earl and Marjorie Marie (Snodgrass) Harman in Hastings, Iowa. Following high school LeVon was united in marriage to Albert Franklin McCollester on December 15, 1946 in Glenwood, Iowa. To this union two children were born, James and Pamela.

The family resided on the farm and LeVon was employed in the Registrar Department at the Glenwood Resource Center until her retirement. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Board and the Silver City Library Board. She enjoyed sewing and was a talented painter and made beautiful dolls. Spending time with her family brought her the most joy. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Preceding LeVon in passing were her parents, husband, brother Eldon Harman, sister Evelyn Howrey and step-grandson Jeff Serrault. Survivors include her children James and wife Cindy McCollester of Silver City, Iowa; Pamela and husband Charles Serrault of Prosper, Texas; grandchildren Chad and wife Meghan McCollester and their children Grant and Blake; Marcy and husband Nathan Powles and their children Dylan and Devon all of Silver City, Iowa; Nicholas and wife Trina Serrault and their children Kemper and Sutton; sister Donna Fay of Malvern, Iowa; nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.

Interment, Silver City Cemetery, Silver City, Iowa.

Memorial donations may be directed to Silver City Fire & Rescue or Silver City American Legion.
