Kristie Lu (Stone) Henderson, 59, of Glenwood, Iowa entered into eternal rest on May 17, 2007 at the Manor of Malvern in Malvern, Iowa. She was born Dec. 8, 1947 in Pacific Junction, Iowa to Irwin Ivol & Marjorie Edna (Harmon) Stone.
Kristie graduated from Glenwood High School in 1966. She then attended and graduated from Stewart’s Beauty School. Kristie owned and operated Kristie’s Beauty Salon on the north side of the square in Glenwood for thirty years. She dearly loved all of her customers. Her kind and generous nature will always be remembered by all of those who knew and loved her. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Kristie loved her family and was a wonderful daughter, mother, grandmother, and sister. Laughter could be heard throughout the house when the family would gather for the holidays. Bowling and having fun with her family and friends was something Kristie cherished. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and patrons.
Preceding Kristie in death was her mother, Marjorie Stone. She is survived by her daughter, Heidi Henderson of Des Moines, IA; grandson, Marcus Irwin Stibbs of Des Moines, IA; father, Irwin Stone of Glenwood, IA; sister, Karen & husband Joe Sloup of Pocatello, Idaho; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended relatives and a host of friends.
