Kenneth Howard Crum, 63, of Griswold, Iowa passed away Nov. 6, 2005 at Iowa Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. He was born July 12, 1942 in Griswold to Malcolm Vernon Crum & Doris E. (Rupp) DeWitt. He was raised on a farm near Grant and Cumberland, IA, where he enjoyed his horses and collie dogs.
Ken was united in marriage to Donna Rose Willis Ayers on Sept. 7, 2001 in Nashville, TN. They enjoyed bowling, creating stained glass, and working on the Democratic Elections together. He had a zest for life and enjoyed teasing and joking with his family and friends. He loved his dog Cooper and watching Sci-Fi movies. He worked for Nevada Test site in Nevada and retired as a self-employed electrician. Ken will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Ken was preceded in death by his father and step-father Junior Bryson. He is survived by his wife Donna Crum of Griswold, IA; mother Doris E. (Rupp) Crum Bryson DeWitt of Waverly, IA; children Kathy Dorsey of Massena, IA; David Crum of Massena, IA; Carrie Kirchhoff & husband Jeff of Lewis, IA; Kendra Crum of Shenandoah, IA; Kenneth Crum, Jr. of Shenandoah, IA; step-children: Larry & wife Lisa Ayers of Millard, NE; Gary Ayers of Council Bluffs, IA; 14 grandchildren: Tonya, Aaron, Mike, Kaitlin, Quinn, Cydney, Jayney, Justin, Kyle, Holly, Bryan, James, Jason, and Brittany; 3 great-grandchildren: Anna, Isabelle and Dillon; 2 half-brothers; Larry Crum of Storm Lake, IA; Mike Crum of North Carolina; several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
