Kathy Lea Trimmer, 67 of Malvern, Iowa passed away March 30, 2026 in Omaha, Nebraska. She was born July 4, 1958 in Omaha, Nebraska to Michael Eugene and Marilyn Lea (Jewel) Ricker. Kathy was raised in Malvern and graduated from high school in Malvern. Kathy was united in marriage to Curtis Eugene Trimmer in Malvern. To this union two children were born, Brittany Lee Trimmer and Benjamin Curtis Trimmer. Kathy was employed in the Abstract office and later in the Assessor’s office in the Mills County Courthouse. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Preceding Kathy in passing were her parents and parent-in-laws. Survivors include her husband Curtis of Malvern, Iowa; children Brittany Lea Trimmer of Glenwood, Iowa and Benjamin Curtis Trimmer of Malvern, Iowa; siblings; Kristi Stadt of Omaha, Nebraska; Diana (Doug) Burchett of Malvern, Iowa; Donna Davis of Omaha, Nebraska; Julie (Thomas) Belt of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Michael Ricker of Council Bluffs, Iowa; many nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.
Interment, Malvern Cemetery, Malvern, Iowa.

Brittany, I’m so sorry to hear about your mom. She was bubbly and fun. I enjoyed the time I spent with her and you at the YMCA.
Dear Trimmer and Ricker families…..my heart is hurting. Kathy was such a sweet and kind person. She could be a mama bear when needed. She fiercely loved her family and siblings with her whole heart. Kathy will be sooo missed by all who knew and loved her. Deepest sympathy, warmest thoughts, and loving hugs to you all.
