Jonathan James “J.J.” Hahn

Celebration of Life: Saturday, September 3, 2022, 10:30 A.M., Peterson Mortuary, 212 S. Locust Street, Glenwood, Iowa.

J.J. Hahn, 27 of Glenwood, Iowa formerly of Omaha, Nebraska was born June 16, 1995, to Timothy Hahn and Tina Kisler in Omaha. He lived in Glenwood with his parents, Tim and Jodie Hahn. He passed away August 30, 2022, at UNMC of Omaha, after struggling with systolic heart failure for 3 years.

J.J. spent most of his life in Glenwood.  He graduated from Glenwood High School in 2013. He attended college at Northern State University where he played on a football scholarship.  He was working on his apprenticeship as HVAC technician with Aksarben Heating and Cooling before he became unable to work.

J.J. enjoyed lifting weights, watching sports, swimming, and playing blackjack.  He was also a volunteer for ARCH of Omaha, Ne where he was a mentor. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and loved his dog, Ace.

Preceding J.J. in passing were his grandparents, John and Leanor “Toots” Stearns and Grandpa John Wagner. Survivors include his parents Tim (Jodie) Hahn of Glenwood, Iowa; Grandma Virginia Wagner of Glenwood; Owen Hahn of Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania; Tina Kisler of Omaha, Nebraska; Grandparents Bob (Pam) of Bellevue, Nebraska; sisters Marissa and Nevaeh Kisler of Omaha, Nebraska; nephew Isaiah of Omaha, Nebraska; several Aunts, Uncles and extended relatives and friends.

Interment to be held at a later date.

Memorial donations may be directed to the family.

    Jonathan I love you with all my heart. This is not goodbye. You will forever live on through all the lives you touched. I feel grateful and blessed to have got to spend part of my life with you.     The loss is immeasurable but so is the love he left behind. He is not gone but a small distance apart , know he just now lives in your heart. Prayers for all.

    I’m sorry to hear about JJ, but he is out of pain now. His parents, Tim and Tina, raised a very good man and he will be remembered forever.

    Tim and Jodi, I am very sorry to hear of JJ’s passing. I haven’t seen him in some time but he always spoke to me and had a smile. Prayers for your family.
