James Patrick “Jim” McInerney, 62, of Glenwood, Iowa, formerly of Cedar Rapids, Iowa entered into eternal rest on February 9, 2010 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was born Jan. 30, 1948 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Henry Bernard & Lucille (Walker) McInerney.
Jim was united in marriage to Jean Ann Elliott in Marion, Iowa. They resided in Cedar Rapids before moving to Glenwood in 1999. Jim was employed as a plant manager for Cetac Manufacturing. He was a former member of the Army Reserves for 6 years. Jim attended Grace United Methodist Church in Glenwood and especially enjoyed the contemporary worship services. Some of his favorite pastimes were woodworking, feeding the humming birds and finches, attending car shows and was active in the Good Guys Car Club. He and Jean loved nature, traveling and just being together with family. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Preceding Jim in death were his parents and sister Mary McInerney Krinskey. He is survived by his wife, Jean McInerney of Glenwood, Iowa; children, Melinda & Webb Hawkins; P.J. & Kinsey McInerney; Aaron Zeman all of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Kelly & Rich Harris of Kodiak, Alaska; 6 grandchildren; sister, Anne & husband Jerry Cochran of Colleyville, Texas; nieces, nephews, extended relatives and a host of friends.
