Gerryl “Gerry” D. Harper

Gerryl “Gerry” Harper, 74 of Glenwood, Iowa passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on October 4, 2021. Gerry was born on September 9, 1947 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Charles Franklin and Wanda Lee (Dyke) Radford. She was raised in Glenwood graduating with the Class of 1965 from Glenwood High School. She was united in marriage to her soulmate Thomas Gale Harper on August 28, 1964 in Glenwood.

Gerry was co-owner of several Pizza Hut Enterprises with her husband Tom until their retirement. They enjoyed spending time at their vacation home at the Lake of the Ozarks where the family went boating, water skiing and spent quality time together. She liked going to car shows and taking a spin in their collector cars. Her love of nature was shown by feeding the birds, tending her flowers and being out in her yard. Gerry was an Iowa Hawkeye fan. She was most devoted to her family and dearly loved being with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Preceding Gerry in passing were her parents. Survivors include her loving husband Tom Harper; daughter Angie (Terry) Marlow all of Glenwood, Iowa; son Todd Harper of Papillion, Nebraska; granddaughters April (Joey) Schoening and Cami Marlow of Glenwood, Iowa; great-grandchildren, Cadyn Lichty, Grey and Graham Schoening; sisters Jo (Phil) Brown of Glenwood, Iowa; Deb (Steve) Bussey of Lincoln, Nebraska; several nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.

Private services are planned.

Interment, Glenwood Cemetery, Glenwood, Iowa.

Memorial donations may be directed to the Harvey T. Rimel Post #141 Glenwood American Legion or Hooves and Paws Rescue of the Heartland, Glenwood, Iowa.

    Please Harper family, accept our sincere condolences. Gerry was our neighbor at Lake of the Ozarks. She was a beautiful, kind and caring woman who will be missed by so many friends and family.
