Donald LeRoy LeMaster, 82 of Glenwood, Iowa was born October 3, 1939 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Floyd LeRoy and Caroline Cora (Caulkins) LeMaster. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on August 12, 2022. Don was raised in Council Bluffs graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1957. He was united in marriage to Sharilyn Sue Karr on June 3, 1972 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. They lived there until moving to Glenwood in 1988.

Don owned NOD transport trucking company and later started the Real Estate Appraisal business with his wife. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Don enjoyed playing bridge, poker, pinochle, fishing, golfing and hunting. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

Preceding Don in passing were his parents, siblings Diane (Larry) Beard, infant brother Floyd “Corky” LeMaster, Sharon LeMaster, Judy Vargas, Daniel (Jeanette) LeMaster, nephews Richard Gibbs and Michael Beard.

Survivors include his wife Shari LeMaster of Glenwood, Iowa; children Deborah (Bernie) Grosse-Rhode of Pacific Junction, Iowa; Jacqueline Hyde of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Kent Hyde of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Drew (Kelly) LeMaster of Sidney, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; siblings Carolyn (Gary) Gibbs; Kathy (David) Miller all of Council Bluffs, Iowa; David LeMaster of Omaha, Nebraska; several nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.

Interment: Glenwood Cemetery, Glenwood, Iowa

Memorial donations may be directed to Glenwood Volunteer Fire Association or Glenwood Public Library.

    Shari – Words cannot express how sad we are for your loss. We were incredibly lucky to have known Don for so many years. Lots of nights playing poker at Flack Casino and memories we will never forget. Rest in peace Big Dog! We love you!
