Donald E. Carlberg, 86 of Glenwood, Iowa passed away at his home on December 2, 2021. He was born on October 28, 1935 in Hamburg, Iowa to Elmer Sigfred and Hila Alice (Gilbert) Carlberg. Don graduated from Tabor High School and was a longtime farmer in the area. He was a member of the Hillsdale United Methodist Church.

Preceding Don in passing were his parents, wife Sharon Carlberg and daughter Vicki Sue Annan. Survivors include his grandchildren Maria Fuxa of Shenandoah, Iowa; Mitchell Annan of Clarinda, Iowa; longtime companion Kitty Hadden of Glenwood, Iowa; great-niece Faithanne Patterson Kemnitz; extended relatives and friends.

Private interment, Glenwood Cemetery, Glenwood, Iowa.

Memorial donations may be directed to the family.

    Kitty, I am very sorry about Donnie. As you know, he was my ex-brother-in-law several years back. I always thought that he was one of the very few remaining GOOD GUYS, a very good man. I always thought that he and I were pretty good friends and could talk about just anything that was on our minds. Didn’t matter what the subject was. He will be missed by me and many others. I lost my husband (Marty) in 2021 and it is very difficult to have to live without our guys beside us. I hope you are able to find some peace as I am trying to do, (Marty and I were together for 32 years). I truly know your pain.
