David Michael Strand, 49, of Glenwood, Iowa, passed away on March 18, 2026. He was born on April 8, 1976, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to David Lester and Marcia Larraine (Williams) Strand.

David’s smile was undeniably genuine, and his laughter was contagious. He loved swimming, dancing, and listening to music. He also enjoyed small thrills in life, gliding down water slides or giggling through a haunted house. The gentlest of souls, he found joy in the simple pleasure of listening to the sounds of the video games his sisters would play. He was endlessly captivated by sounds, often replaying them over and over again. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. Survivors include his parents, Dave and Marcia Strand of Glenwood, Iowa; his sisters, Marti Strand (Christopher Ferretti) of Glenwood, Iowa, and Courtney Strand (Scott Morihata) of Santa Ana, California; his niece and nephew, Malin and August; and many extended friends and caregivers.
