David LeRoy Epperson, 77, of Glenwood, Iowa and formerly of Council Bluffs, Iowa passed away on May 6, 2023 at Glen Haven Village in Glenwood, Iowa. He was born June 14, 1945 in Council Bluffs, Iowa the son of Haney Beryle and Ruth Susan (Cox) Epperson. He attended school in Council Bluffs and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School with the Class of 1963.
He lived in Council Bluffs, Iowa for many years before moving to Glenwood in February of 2014. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Glenwood and was baptized there as an adult. David loved reading from the bible every day and enjoyed playing Bingo, singing Karaoke and dressing up for many of the holiday parties they had. In his spare time, you could often find him watching western movies, with John Wayne being one of his favorites.
Preceding David in passing were his parents; sister Margaret Lewis; and brother George Epperson. Survivors include his sister-in-law Joyce Epperson of Council Bluffs, Iowa; nephews Kevin (Rita) Epperson of Council Bluffs, Keith (Rhonda) Epperson of Plymouth, MN, John Wilkens, and Michael Lewis; other relatives and friends.
Memorial donations may be directed to the Glen Haven Village in memory of David.

Uncle Dave was a kind and gentle soul. He is no longer suffering in this life.
I have nothing but great memories of growing up and looking forward to the next time I got to go see my “techy” Uncle. Watching black and white horror movies, having him play music on his reel to reel player and seeing him take live movies with what must have been a 15 lb camera. Quite simply, he was cool. He was also very kind and giving. I can only imagine him soaring the heavens with some technology and a great big smile. Love you Uncle Dave, read in peace
