Darwin “Brad” Ross Bradley, 80, of Glenwood, Iowa entered into eternal rest on February 18, 2006 at Glen Haven Home following a long illness with Parkinson’s Disease and cancer.

Darwin was born April 1, 1925 in Irvington NE to John & Gladys (Bock) Bradley. Later his family moved to the Goff, Kansas area where he grew up. Darwin enlisted in the Navy in 1942. He received a medical discharge in May of 1943. Darwin then joined the Merchant Marines. After his military service, he, along with his parents, moved to Glenwood and purchased a gas station and grocery business called West Oak Filling Station and Grocery.

In June of 1951, Darwin was united in marriage to Janet Lee of Glenwood. To this union four children were born, Michael, Randall, John and Kelli.

In 1987, Darwin retired from Insurance Service Officers as a Fire Safety Engineer in Topeka, KS. He and Janet then moved back to Glenwood. Darwin enjoyed his family, traveling, fishing and watching Nebraska football.

Preceding him in death were his parents, one sister, one brother and loving grandson Andrew Bradley. He is survived by his wife Janet of Glenwood, sons, Michael & wife Debra Bradley of Coon Rapids, MN, Randall Bradley of Agency, IA, John & wife Susan Bradley of Glenwood, IA, daughter, Kelli & husband Brian Comstock of Omaha, NE, brothers, Lou Bradley, Ralph Bradley, sister-in-laws, Pauline Bradley and Helen Bradley, brother-in-laws, James (Sam) & wife Nancy Lee, sister-in-law, Patti & husband Dick Thomas, several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
