Words are not adequate to express how very, very sorry we are to hear of Darlene’s passing. It was a priviledge to have known her. She loved her family with her whole heart and would not have traded her life with them for anything. She was a most loving person to all who knew her and will never be forgotten. Please know that love, thoughts and prayers are with you all..

I have so many great memories of Aunt Darlene. My dad always called her “Sis”, There were 5 of us kids and we always were excited to go to Aunt Darlene’s house when we visited Grandma Rose in Omaha. Aunt Darlene was the best cook and always treated us kids like we were royalty.

Please know that the Dick Gerber family, extended to North Carolina, Georgia and Virginia will be praying for you. Your mom/grandma loved each one of you very much. She will always be remembered in my heart as the “super glue that held all of us together.” She was always the same, had a smile on her face and treated everyone like they were special.

Thank The Lord we will see her, again, in heaven.

Our thoughts and prayers are with our Aunt Darlene’s sweet family members whom she loved and cared for…always. Our Aunt Darlene not only had a gentle, quiet spirit but she was also one of the most hard working ladies I’ve ever known. She always put others first…always. She was truly a Proverbs 31 woman. It won’t be easy getting through these next days and months ahead….but remember that we have the assurance that we will see our Aunt Darlene again in heaven one day. Till we meet again, Aunt Darlene…Love you
