Charles Edgar Risinger, II, 85, of Glenwood, IA, entered into eternal rest on Jan. 14, 2012 at the Hospice With Heart in Glenwood. He was born April 1, 1926 in Indiana, PA to Charles Edgar Risinger, Sr. & Anna Marie (Sunberg) Risinger. Charlie served in the Navy 4 years before making a career in the Air Force for 24 years. He was united in marriage to Ruth M. North in 1953. To this union 6 children were born, Sandi, Ethel, Kathy, Jimmy, Terri and Charles. Ruth passed away in 1988 and he later married Jean (Murray) McCord. She passed away in 2009. Charlie was a ranger at the Glenwood Girl Scout camp for many years. He was employed as a security guard at Bunge until his health no longer permitted. He was a member of VFW and American Legion Post 141. Charlie loved horticulture and gardening, planting the flowers at Glen Haven while residing there.

Preceding Charlie in death were his parents, wives, Ruth and Jean; 1 brother; 4 sisters; and son-in-law, Raymond Runge. He is survived by children Sandi Runge of Omaha, NE; Ethel & Jan Cieluch of Moreno Valley, CA; Kathy & Jack Broady of Johnson, NE; Jimmy Risinger of Glenwood, IA; Terri Hardy of Glenwood, IA; Charles Edgar Risinger, III of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth and Gladys; extended relatives and many friends.
