Beverly Jean Jewell, 91 of Glenwood, Iowa passed away March 17, 2022. She was born October 15, 1930 in Loveland, Iowa to James Kenneth and Bessie (Scott) Jewell.

Beverly was a caregiver to many people and children throughout her life. She enjoyed the time spent with her family and the children she took care of for so many years. Everyone called her Aunt Bevy, she didn’t have a hateful bone in her, always smiling! She could be ornery, yet be so pure. Aunt bevy loved to do puzzles, embroidery and watch Chicago Cubs baseball. Even though she never had children of her own, she had a huge impact as a nanny and aunt. She was one of a kind with nothing but love in her heart, sweetest person ever!

She loved watching her game shows, when you stopped by to visit she would always have a game show on, unless the Cubs were on! She enjoyed sleeping in her recliner, playing games, marbles (aggravation), cards and scrabble. She would play these with her mother Bessie Jewell and with her nieces and nephews.  She lived with her mother until she passed and in 1998 for first time lived on her own living next to her sister Connie and family.

Preceding Beverly in passing were her parents, sisters Patsy Jewell, Diana Jewell, Marilyn Ricker and Connie McVay. Survivors include her nieces and nephews Mark McVay, Mike (Diana) McVay, Matt (Tracy) McVay, Mara (Antwan) Hunt, Nancy McVay, Kristy (William) Stadt, Diana (Doug) Burchett, Kathy (Curtis) Trimmer, Donna Davis, Julie (Thomas) Belt, Michael Ricker, extended relatives and friends.

Interment, Crescent Township Cemetery, Crescent, Iowa.

Memorial donations may be directed to the family.
