Betty Marie Wolfe, 94 of Malvern, Iowa formerly of Glenwood, Iowa passed away March 9, 2022 in Red Oak, Iowa. She was born November 21, 1927 in Pacific Junction, Iowa to Charles Hubert and Leora Alvinia (Cowardin) Coffey.

Betty graduated from Glenwood High School in 1944. She was united in marriage to Wilbur Fay Wolfe on March 14, 1945 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. To this union three daughters were born DeLores, Carol and Marcia. Betty was a secretary for Mills County Extension Office in Malvern for 24 years retiring in 1993. She was a talented quilter making many to share with her family and also made quilts of valor. Betty enjoyed sitting near any body of water and loved the outdoors and all of the peacefulness of nature. Her greatest joys were the times spent with her family. She attended as many of their sporting events they were involved in and became a pro at videotaping many of them. Betty was able to attend the State Track Meet at the Drake Stadium last spring to watch her great-grandson participate. Family meant everything to her. During the recent pandemic, she made many masks to share with the Malvern Clinic as well as anyone who needed them. She was a very giving, fun-loving person who always had a smile on her face. Rest in peace dear Betty until we meet again.

Preceding Betty in passing were her parents, husband, brother Darwin “Bud” Coffey; grandchildren Andrew Powles, Jacen Sealock, Jaime Sealock and longtime companion Kenneth “Bud” Hammers.

Survivors include her daughters DeLores “Dee” (Regee) Hatfield of Malvern, Iowa; Carol (John) Sealock of Chandler, Texas; Marcia (Rex) McKay of Clarinda, Iowa; grandchildren Kelley Hatfield, Brenda Shannon, Amie Wilson, Lantz Powles and Nate Powles; step-grandchildren Dawn Shafer and Tara Miner; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sister-in-law Charlene Coffey of Hot Springs, Arkansas; sister-in-law Barbara Koester of Beaver Lake, Nebraska; nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.
