William “Bill” Guy O’Brien, 69 of Glenwood, Iowa formerly of Kearney, Nebraska entered into rest on February 6, 2016 at his home in Glenwood. He was born on September 21, 1946 in Kearney, Nebraska to Gerald Alphonse and Twyla Clair (Frink) O’Brien.
Bill was a machinist for a tool and die company in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He had previously resided in Portland, Maine before relocating to the Midwest. Bill enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Preceding Bill in passing was his father. Survivors include his mother, Twyla O’Brien of Kearney, Nebraska; daughters, Teresa Kirsting of Kearney, Nebraska; Leslie Jean O’Brien of Omaha, Nebraska; several grandchildren; significant other and life partner, Barb Barton of Glenwood, Iowa; siblings, Michael O’Brien; Steve O’Brien; Brett O’Brien all of Kearney, Nebraska; Linda Gant of Gibbon, Nebraska; Kelly Sieck of Davenport, Iowa; Cinda Egge of Kearney, Nebraska; several nieces, nephews, extended relatives and many friends.
Interment will be held in Kearney, Nebraska at a later date.
