Ruth Irene Johnson, 92, of Glenwood, Iowa entered into eternal rest on June 29, 2007 in Tabor, Iowa. She was born February 7, 1915 in Mills County, Iowa to Sheldon B. & Sylvia (Johnson) Lincoln.
Ruth graduated from Pacific Junction High School. She was united in marriage to Paul Wilhelm Johnson on May 11, 1935 in Rockport, MO. To this union two children were born, Phyllis and Roger. The family resided on the farm in Pacific Junction until moving to Glenwood following her retirement in 1978 from the Glenwood Resource Center as a cook. Ruth was a member of First Baptist Church in Glenwood, Pythian Sisters, and D.A.R. She dearly loved her family and had a special little dog named Patsy. Ruth also enjoyed fishing and reading.
Preceding Ruth in death were her parents, husband Paul, two brothers, Merrill and Sheldon Lincoln. She is survived by her children, Phyllis & husband Donald Lyons of Gravity, IA; Roger & wife Charlene Johnson of Blue Springs, MO; brother, Ernest and wife Kathleen Lincoln of Bedford, Iowa; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Paula Anstey and children Paul and Mary Beth, Kent & wife Lynnette Johnson and children Derek and Kate, Duane Lyons and Connie Fleetwood, Kari & husband Douglas Smith, Jeremy and wife Shawna Johnson and children Nicholas and Justin, several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
