Roger Otto

Roger F. Otto, 89 of Glenwood, Iowa entered into rest on January 2, 2017 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was born May 21, 1927 in Lake City, Iowa to Arthur Leo and Henrietta (Van Erdewyk) Otto. Following high school, he faithfully served his country in the Army during WWII. He was united in marriage to Marian Stork on January 5, 1949 in Mt. Carmel, Iowa. To this union three daughters were born, Ann, Kay and Jeanne. Roger owned and operated his own car dealership in Glenwood for many years as well as a gas station. His passion was golf, playing cards and spending time with his family. He was a faithful member of Holy Rosary Church in Glenwood.

Preceding Roger in passing were his parents, Art and Edna Otto; sister, Shirley Meehan and brother, Leslie Otto. Survivors include his loving wife Marian Otto of Glenwood, Iowa; children, Ann Smock of Omaha, Nebraska; Kay and husband Roger Shaw of Glenwood, Iowa; Jeanne and husband Sam Pelletteri of Waukee, Iowa; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brother Artie Otto of California; sister, Connie Zwick of Florida; several nieces, nephews, extended relatives and many friends.

Interment and Military Rites will be held in the Glenwood Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Holy Rosary Church in Glenwood, Iowa.
