Roberta H. (Hockabout) Kuhl, 91, of Pacific Junction, Iowa, formerly of Glenwood, Iowa, entered into eternal rest on March 3, 2009 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She was born May 21, 1917 in Hastings, Iowa to John Miles and Trecia Katheryn (Critz) Hockabout.
Roberta was employed with Rager Laundry as well as other family laundry services for most of her adult life until her retirement in the mid 1980’s. She was united in marriage to Junior Fred Kuhl on October 23, 1999 in Glenwood, Iowa. Roberta loved to travel and went on numerous cruises and trips with the Heritage Club. Through the years, many hours of service were devoted to the Glenwood Senior Center. She was a member of RSVP and the First Christian Church in Glenwood. She loved spending time with her family and dearly loved her cats.
Preceding Roberta in death were her parents, sister, Beulah Mary Sargent; brother, Pearl Wilbur, Everett Roy, Orville Raymond, Homer William, twin brother, Robert Harry Hockabout and step-daughter, Nancy Waller. She is survived by her loving husband, Junior Fred Kuhl of Pacific Junction, Iowa; brother, Johnnie Hockabout of Glenwood, Iowa; step-children, Dixie and husband Tom Fritz of New Market, Iowa; Harry and wife Deanna Kuhl of Glenwood, Iowa; Tim and wife Karla Kuhl of Council Bluffs, Iowa; several step-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
