Mary Ellen Kopp, 85, of Malvern, Iowa, formerly of Council Bluffs, Iowa, entered into eternal rest on Nov. 2, 2009 in Council Bluffs. She was born on May 3, 1924 in Pickering, Missouri to Ray & Nellie Gertrude (Watson) Lincoln.

Mary Ellen graduated from Malvern High School in 1943. She was united in marriage to William Wesley Kopp on Nov. 27, 1952 in Malvern, Iowa. Mary Ellen was employed with Pendleton Woolen Mills as a supervisor for 36 years until her retirement. Following her parents death, Mary Ellen went to Pickering to decorate their graves each year with the exception of one when Bill was in the hospital. She was devoted to her family. Mary Ellen was also a loyal Yankees fan and was especially fond of Larry Bird and Robert Mitchum. She and Bill enjoyed attending all of the College World Series games as long as they were able.

Preceding Mary Ellen in death were her parents, husband Bill on March 23, 2007; brothers, Paul and Ray Lincoln and sisters, Gertrude Rice and Wilma Kuhlenbeck. She is survived by her family, John and Cindy Sayers of Malvern and children, Shane and wife Lindsay and children, Draven, Madison, Jack and Ryan Sayers; Heath and wife Jami Sayers and daughter, Venna; Lacey Sayers and Andrea Caniglia; nieces, nephews, extended relatives and a host of friends.
