INTERMENT: Glenwood Cemetery, Glenwood, Iowa

Ardys Marilyn McCrary, 78, of Pacific Junction, Iowa entered into eternal rest on May 13, 2007 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She was born to Ernest Leighton & Rachel Irene (Hickman) McCrary in rural Mills County, Iowa.

Marilyn graduated from Bartlett High School in 1946. Farming was not only her occupation, but brought her great joy throughout her life. She not only kept the family farm going following the passing of her parents, but would give helpful tips to others that were close to her. She was quite independent, but loved the company of her neighbors and friends and was especially close to her sister. She was devoted and loyal to all who knew and loved her. Baking for others, especially her famous ho ho cake was a delightful treat she loved to share. Marilyn belonged to several bridge groups throughout the years and she also enjoyed bowling. She was content on the farm surrounded by her animals and the land she cared for so compassionately.

Preceding Marilyn in death were her parents and brother-in-law, Edgar Farnum. She is survived by her sister Phyllis Farnum of Beloit, Wisconsin; 2 cousins; Special Friends, Merrill and Elva Sargent; Dale and Pam Sargent; Ron and Pam Sargent; Keva and Bill Richardson; Gary Liebsch and many other friends.
