Francis Eugene “Gene” Anglen

Francis Eugene “Gene” Anglen, 82 of Glenwood, Iowa entered into rest on January 11, 2016 in Omaha, Nebraska. He was born June 27, 1933 in Celine County, Marshall, Missouri to Clarence Elbert and Mavis (Fisher) Anglen.

Gene faithfully served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a custodian at the Glenwood Community High School for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

Preceding Gene in passing were his parents, son, David Wilson; siblings, Sam Anglen, Shirley Prien and Darrell Angen, Sr. Survivors include his children, Albert Anglen; Clarence Anglen both of Utah; Mellie “Nunie” Billbe of Carbondale, Kansas; Teresa Wilson Blair of Carmel, California and William Wilson of Utah; siblings, Barbara Bowley; Della Mae Anglen both of Glenwood, Iowa; Connie York of Sparks, Nevada; granddaughter, Iesha Marie Billbe; great-granddaughter, Daylnn Marie Billbe; several other grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.

Per Gene’s request there will be no service or visitation.

Memorials may be directed to the Glenwood Public Library.
