Eugene “Gene” Morrison

Eugene “Gene” A. Morrison, age 88, of Tabor, Iowa, passed away at the Tabor Manor on December 8th, 2016. Gene was born on June 12th, 1928 in Greenfield, Iowa to the late Albert & Nora (Vanderpool) Morrison. Gene was united in marriage to Beverly Sue Nichols on March 10th, 1949 in Nevinville, Iowa. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and later worked as an LPN at the Glenwood Resource Center. He was a proud member of the Glenwood Eagles Club.

Gene is survived by his wife, son John Morrison (Pamela,) daughter Patricia Wheeler, son-in-laws, Craig Williams and Oran Daffron, 13 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughters, Norma Williams and Georgia Daffron.

Visitation with the family will be Sunday, December 11, 2016, 6-8 pm at Peterson Mortuary in Glenwood. Memorial service will be held at 10 am Monday, December 12th, also at the mortuary.

Interment will be held at a later date in Rose Hill Cemetery near Nevinville, IA.

Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.

    So sorry to hear of Gene’s passing. He and Sue were great neighbors and he was a breakfast buddy of Dad’s. You are all in my thoughts & prayers.
