Edith Frances “Edie” Crouch, 50, of Glenwood, Iowa, entered into eternal rest on May 16, 2007 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She was born February 5, 1957 in Redwood City, CA to Bruce & Margaret (McDonald) Forsythe.
Edie was united in marriage to Hunter Roy Crouch on Aug. 10, 1976 in Reno, NV. The couple and their children resided in many different cities while Roy was in the service before moving to Glenwood in 1992. Edie was a Registered Nurse and was working on completing her Master’s Degree. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Christmas was Edie’s favorite holiday and she would shop year round for something special for each family member. Taking pride in her appearance was always important to Edie. She loved to wear vibrant dresses with frilly socks to match her outfits. Her thoughtfulness and caring nature was shown in her willingness to help others in any way she possibly could. Edie had tremendous faith and led by example sharing her knowledge with her grandchildren and other youth she taught at church. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Preceding Edie in death were her parents Bruce and Margaret Forsythe. She is survived by her husband, Hunter Roy Crouch of Glenwood, IA; children, Tricia & husband Jim Gardner of Auburn, NE; Roy Steven Crouch of Aubrey, TX and Casey Eads of Austin, TX; Tammy & husband David Miller of Glenwood, IA; Tina Crouch of Glenwood, IA; 6 grandchildren, Teagan Miller, Sean & Christopher Crouch, Mariah, Jonathan and Haylee Gardner; brothers and sisters, Bruce & wife Sandy Forsythe of AZ; Colleen & husband Gene Showden of TN; Ronald Forsythe and companion Matt Forsythe of CA; Mike & Neva Forsythe of Glenwood, IA: Cecilia Forsythe of AZ; several nieces, nephews, extended relatives and a host of friends.
