Delpha Ruth McCoy

Delpha Ruth McCoy, 86 of Wahoo, Nebraska formerly of Pacific Junction, Iowa entered into rest in Lincoln, Nebraska on May 1, 2016. She was born March 21, 1930 in Gordon, Nebraska to Brick Paul and Mildred Louise (Johnson) Madison. Delpha graduated from Tabor High School in 1948 and attended Boyle’s Business College in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Delpha was united in marriage to Robert Guy McCoy on March 31, 1951 in Tucson, Arizona. Their marriage was blessed with two daughters, Pamela and Cynthia. She enjoyed being a homemaker while raising her children. She enjoyed bowling, playing bingo and working at the Plattsmouth toll bridge for 13 years, where she met many interesting people. Delpha moved to Wahoo in 2007 to be near her daughter. She was an active member of the V.F.W. Beaver-Bartek Post 4502 as a Poppy Coordinator. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Preceding Delpha in passing were her parents, husband, 3 brothers and infant sister. Survivors include her daughters, Pamela Sue and husband Brian Davis of Aurora, Colorado; Cynthia and husband David Hartman of Wahoo, Nebraska; 3 grandchildren, Anna, John and Paul; great-grandchild, Julia; brother, James Merrill Madison of Phoenix, Arizona; sister-laws, Dorothy Madison of Glenwood, Iowa and Dorothy Madison of Yuba City, California; several nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.

Interment will be held in the Malvern Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Wahoo Community Church.
