Christopher Ryan Oliva, 19 of Omaha, Nebraska formerly of Glenwood, Iowa passed away January 19, 2018 in Omaha. He was born January 12, 1999 in Mesa, Arizona to Richard J. & Deborah R. (Stallings) Oliva. Christopher graduated from Glenwood High School in 2016. He was united in marriage to Nikayla Leigh Elder on September 22, 2017 in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Christopher was a customer care specialist for Century Link. He was in ROTC in Arizona and Iowa. Christopher had been attending Metro Community College. He enjoyed writing, drawing, spending time with family and hanging out with his friends.

Preceding Christopher in passing were his paternal grandparents and maternal grandfather. Survivors include his wife Nikayla Oliva and their daughter, Constance Oliva to arrive in July; daughter, Sophia Oliva (mother, Breanna Straw); parents, Richard and Deborah Oliva of Glenwood, Iowa; brothers, Michael (Rachel) Merrill and their daughters Marley and Madasyn of Gilbert, Arizona; Richard Oliva of Glenwood, Iowa; grandmother, Mary Simber of Ft. Collins, Colorado; aunts, Cheryl and Sandy; niece, Natalie Gagne; nephews, Bradley, Evin and Jaxon Gagne all of Council Bluffs, Iowa; extended relatives and many friends.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established at Glenwood State Bank in memory of Christopher Oliva.

    You lived just a few houses up from us in glenwood and I remember you coming down to hang out with my daughter and shockey. This breaks my heart to see a young man gone so soon. My deepest sympathy and thoughts are with all his family at this hard time.
