Charles Ernest Stubbs, 77, of Glenwood, Iowa and formerly of Council Bluffs, Iowa, entered into eternal rest on March 24, 2008 in Council Bluffs. He was born October 22, 1930 in Council Bluffs to Ernest Charles and Frances W. (Tice) Stubbs.
On November 25, 1970, Charlie was united in marriage to his sweetheart, Juanita Faye Garrison. The couple resided in Glenwood and spent 33 years together until her passing in 2003.
Charlie was employed with the Glenwood Resource Center in the Dairy Dept. and was also a custodian and R.T.W. until his retirement. Charlie was a sports enthusiast and he especially loved baseball. He kept scores for many years here in Glenwood and enjoyed going to his close friends, Richard and Kathy Dix’s grandchildren’s activities. Charlie was a well- read individual and always knew what was going on in the world.
Preceding Charlie in death were his parents, wife, sister Vivian and Brothers, Kenny, Harold and Carl. He is survived by his sister Geraldine & husband Richard Warner of Auburn, IN; Frances Stubbs of Council Bluffs, Iowa; LaVern & wife Barbara Stubbs of Mabelvale, Arkansas; Paul & wife Shirley Stubbs of Carter Lake, Iowa; several nieces, nephews and extended relatives and a host of friends as well as very special friends, Kathy & Richard Dix and family and Charlotte Jensen and family all of Glenwood.
