Shawn and Brandon – We will all miss Uncle Dickey. I have some great memories of when he lived with us in Omaha when I was just a little girl. He put up with me watching him restore his old cars & finally gave in and let me “help” a little. He will always have a special place in my heart. Love, Rene’

I would like to extend my families deepest and most sincere sympathy.

The time that Carl and I spent together will have a lifelong impact. He taught me many things as a young man in life; even if I thought it was crazy to put mushrooms in your chili or why the bank shot on a pool table was a better idea.

Not the least of things, was how to build “it” when a guy didn’t have a clue and laugh while he watched him struggle, only to say let me show you how before you hurt yourself and still have to wait a minute so he could stop laughing at me.

Carl was my friend. My life and where I am today is the direct impact he had made upon me. Carl was that kind of man.

I believe God brought us together to share and support each other at a time when we both needed it in our lives. We had great adventures, laughed and found solace in each other.

Heaven has another carpenter and one of the most kind and decent souls I have ever known.
